Note:
Personally, I have found that 'grip it and rip it'
can be a good motto. However, I have also found
that in order to hit the ball straight, you must
do a few things.

1. Know your grip - ensure that it is firm enough
to hold onto the club when you make impact. I have
found that graphite shafts can reduce the tendency
to flinch - which may allow the club to rotate in
your hands....which makes the ball go right or
left if you have not hit it pefectly with the
center of your club.

2. Know your shoulders - try to keep your lead arm
(the one facing your target) fairly straight
during your backswing and until you hit the ball).
Use the online videos to see how the professionals
do it. Personally, I let a little bit of a bend
happen, but only so that I don't lock my elbow and
hurt it when the jolt happens during impact.
