CHAMPIONSHIP - Held at the Halifax Fairlanes, Nova Scotia, Canada
**SINGLES
Any bowler can compete in the singles championship. They do not
have to be competing in the team championship in order to bowl.
The competition consists of two distinct portions:
 *Qualifying:
All of the bowlers bowl in a qualifying round. Each person bowls
5 strings, and the people with the top 32 totals will compete in the
knockout round. A tie for the final qualifying spot will result in a 1
string roll-off.
 *Knockout:
The knockout round consists of individual matches. Two people bowl
against one another, based upon their qualifying rank (i.e. 1st bowls
against 32nd). They each bowl one string, and the man with the highest
total continues on to the next round (ties result in a second complete
string being bowled). This results in a structure of:
     1st round - 32 bowlers
     2nd round - 16 bowlers
     3rd round - 8 bowlers
     4th round - 4 bowlers
     Championship - 2 bowlers

**TEAMS
Twenty-four teams from Canada and the United States compete in the
championship each year. The location of the competition alternates
between Canada and the United States every year. The last two
Canadian tournaments have been held at the Halifax Fairlanes Bowling
Alley, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The team competition consists of two distinct components: the
qualifying rounds and the round-robin playoffs. There are two divisions
of 12 teams, and during the qualifying rounds each team bowls every
other team in their division. The playoffs consist of alternating matches
between the top 5 qualifiers in each division. Each division has a
sponsor - Holiday Inn Express and Pelham Electric.
 *Qualifying:
Qualifying begins on Tuesday morning, and continues until Friday at
lunch. Each round consists of 3 strings, with 2 points for each win,
and 2 for total pinfall. Ties result in 1 point each.
 *Playoffs:
The first round of the playoffs is held on Friday, and the other rounds
are on Saturday. Each round consists of 3 strings of head-to-head
competitions, with the highest total pinfall determining the winner.
